You might find yourself wondering if you're still in Tokyo, along the Chuo Line, when you see the south exit of Toyoda Station.
The north exit has developed somewhat with the arrival of the AEON MALL, but the south exit retains a Showa-era atmosphere as it undergoes development.
Now, let's head left out of the south exit rotary and make our way towards the Toyoda Station Post Office.

You'll soon spot the Toyoda Jizo-son, a small shrine housing a guardian Jizo statue, right near the station.
And next to the Jizo-son, you'll find a stone bench perfect for taking a rest.

This stone bench can accommodate three people and has a backrest.
The surrounding environment of the rest area isn't very spacious, with bicycles somewhat haphazardly parked nearby.
However, perhaps because of the presence of the Jizo-son, the bench is kept clean, making it a good spot to relax for a bit when you're near Toyoda Station.
You might not have much reason to go to the south exit, but it could be a convenient meeting spot in Toyoda.
If you're looking for a larger rest area in Toyoda, the AEON MALL is recommended!

So, why not give this place a try as a seating rest area around Toyoda Station?
