Let's head towards Keisei Ueno Station, following the 3153 (Saigousan) building, which houses restaurants, after exiting the Shinobazu Exit of Ueno Station.
Continue straight, keeping Yodobashi Camera on your left, and you'll soon see the Park Front Police Box.
The Park Front Police Box marks the entrance to Ueno Park, so let's step inside...

You'll spot the Frog Fountain.
Water spouts from the cute frog statue in the center.
You might imagine a grand fountain when you hear "Ueno Park Fountain...!", but it's actually a surprisingly small and charming one.
Now, on the Chuo-dori side of this frog fountain, there's a place where you can sit and take a break.

There's a stone bench that can accommodate about 30 people.
I recall that it didn't use to be bumpy, but it seems measures have been taken to prevent people from lying down.
Since it's so close to Chuo-dori, it seems like a perfect spot to take a break when you're tired from shopping in Ameyoko or Ueno.
And since it's located above Keisei Ueno Station, it's also a great spot to quickly enjoy your lunch.
Also, there's a coin locker behind this bench for some reason, so it might be useful as a base for sightseeing in Ueno!?
If you want to relax a little longer, we recommend the benches around "Saigo Takamori Statue", which is up the stairs further along!

So, why not use this spot as a place to sit and take a break around Ueno Station?
