When in Ueno... Ueno Park!
The cherry blossoms in Ueno Park in spring, the lotus flowers in Shinobazu Pond in summer, and the autumn leaves are all iconic sights of Ueno.
To get to Ueno Park and Shinobazu Pond, take the JR Ueno Station Shinobazu ticket gate, go past the restaurant facility called UENO3153 (Saigo-san), and head towards Keisei Ueno Station. You'll find it along the way.
Alternatively, it's right in front of you when you exit the Park Entrance ticket gate of Ueno Station!
Also, there are many places to sit and rest around Shinobazu Pond, including near the boat pier in Ueno Park.

The photo shows a bench in the direction of Yushima and Okachimachi, near Shinobazu Pond.
It's the perfect spot to relax while admiring the famous lotus flowers of Shinobazu Pond and watching the ducks and birds that come to the pond.
The ducks are so cute!

It's a two-seater bench with a curved back, so it's quite comfortable to sit on.
The armrests are a nice touch, too.
It gets crowded during cherry blossom season, but these benches, located a bit further from Ueno Station, and the ones on Shinobazu Street might be a little less crowded.

The view from the bench.
This is a spot where you can relax while gazing at the Bentendo temple in front of you and the high-rise apartments on the left.
Sit here for a while and take a break. It's like you can forget all your worries.
Also, the "bench around the statue of Takamori Saigo" in Ueno Park is also recommended because it's close to the station, so please stop by!

So, why not use Ueno Park as a place to rest and sit down?
