On the west exit of Utsunomiya Station, heading towards Tobu Utsunomiya, you'll find a pedestrian deck.
Look out for the familiar Gyoza statue, a symbol of Utsunomiya!

Benches where you can sit and take a break are placed on the Utsunomiya Station building side of the pedestrian deck.

There are benches for two people side by side, surrounded by greenery and statues.
It's convenient to remember this spot if you want to grab a quick lunch near Utsunomiya Station.

Also, the commercial facility called LaLa Square, with its cute eyes, is connected by the pedestrian deck, and there are benches around it.

Since it's a spacious area, it's easy to use for meeting up with a group at Utsunomiya Station.
However, there's no shade, so it can be a resting spot under the scorching sun in summer.

There are also benches on the side of the main road, Prefectural Road No. 1, which leads to Tobu Utsunomiya.

The benches in front of LaLa Square have stylish handrails♪
When I did the research, they were being used by couples waiting to meet.
So, why not give these places a try as resting spots around Utsunomiya Station?
