Takashimaya in Yokohama is right in front of the station, a symbol of the West Exit!
To get to Yokohama Takashimaya, go out the West Exit ticket gate of the JR Line, come out to the rotary in front of the station, and proceed towards the Sotetsu Line ticket gate on the opposite side of Yodobashi Camera. You'll see it nearby.
And now, let's go to the rooftop RF by the elevator in Takashimaya!

When you go outside from the elevator hall, there's a wide rooftop rest area with a feeling of openness!
In summer, it seems to be an area where you can enjoy fresh vegetables, BBQ, and grilled meat called "FARMERS' BEER GARDEN."

There are many tables and benches for four people on the rooftop of Takashimaya.
It's convenient when you want to eat lunch near Yokohama Station♪
You can spread out your lunch box purchased at Takashimaya and enjoy a mini picnic!
If the weather is good, you might even be able to set up your computer and do some remote work.

There's a playland next to the rest area!
Mini amusement park... How nostalgic! This is how a department store rooftop should be (lol)
Although rooftop playlands are decreasing these days, it was bustling with families with children.
Although times are changing, children still love the rides♪

There is also an event space in the rooftop plaza. Perhaps they will hold a superhero show?
There are also benches for three people on both sides.

Speaking of department store rooftops, it's a shrine. The one enshrined on the rooftop of Takashimaya is Saisho Inari.
It's the closest shrine to Yokohama in terms of location.
There was no explanatory board with the details, but I paid my respects.

Actually, Yokohama Takashimaya is connected to the adjacent Joinus, and you can also go to "Joynas no Mori Sculpture Park" from the RF!
It's a park that goes beyond the realm of a rooftop, so I highly recommend it♪

So, why not use Yokohama Takashimaya as a place to rest near Yokohama Station while you're shopping?
