To get to the Tabata Bunjimura Memorial Hall, go out the north exit of Tabata Station and head towards the "Asuka Tower," the symbol tower of Tabata, which you'll see on your left.
Enter the Asuka Tower, go up to the 2nd floor by escalator, and when you go outside, you'll see the entrance to the Tabata Bunjimura Memorial Hall.
What is Bunjimura in the first place?
Back in the mid-Meiji era, after the Tokyo University of the Arts opened in Ueno, many artists and novelists moved to Tabata to live as lodgers.
The Tabata area had the aspect of an artists' village, a Bunjimura (novelist's village), and it is said that materials such as manuscripts and works of the artists are exhibited there.
Many of the anecdotes that are passed down are from people in their 20s and 30s, and perhaps young people with worries can get some hints at the Bunjimura Memorial Hall!?
So, here's an introduction to the benches.
There's a place where you can sit and take a break at the top of the raised stairs next to the entrance of the memorial hall.

There are 5 benches that can accommodate 3 people each.
There are plants and streetlights around, and you can relax and take a break even though you are surrounded by concrete.
Since there are hardly any people passing by, it would be convenient when you want to take a quiet break near Tabata Station or when you need to make a phone call.

When I visited around 4 p.m. in July, the trees of the plants were providing shade, and I was able to take a cool break.
Why not buy an iced coffee at the FamilyMart on the 1st floor of Asuka Tower and take a break here?
Furthermore, if you look towards the Edo Slope and the JR Shinkansen Vehicle Center that surround the Asuka Tower, you'll find benches!

These are round benches that follow the planting. It seemed like about 15 people could use them.
This rest area has a gate at the entrance, and it may be closed during early morning and late night hours.

The seating comfort is quite ordinary, but since there are many seats near Tabata Station and they were empty, it would be convenient to remember.
It seems that it can also be used as a place to eat lunch in Tabata or as a meeting place.
Also, there is also "Asuka Tower 2F" nearby, where you can take a break indoors, so please stop by as well!
So, why not use them as a place to take a rest near Tabata Station?
