To get to the South Ticket Gate, it's near the Nambu Line platforms and restrooms inside Tachikawa Station.

It's a small ticket gate, so it's easy to miss, but it's a shortcut to the South Exit deck, so it's handy to remember.

And, when you exit the South Ticket Gate, there's a seating area at the bottom of the escalator inside ecute (에큐트).

Wooden benches that can accommodate about 10 people are installed.

When I checked on a weekday evening, the seats were full, as you can see in the photo.

However, since they were being used by a group at that time, you might be able to find a seat depending on the situation.

Also, the rest area isn't very spacious, but it's close to the ticket gate, making it convenient as a meeting spot at the south exit of Tachikawa Station.

If you plan to stay for a while, I recommend the spacious rest area on the 3rd floor, which you can reach by taking the escalator next to the rest area!
