The pedestrian deck on the Tachikawa-Kita Station side of the Tama Monorail leads from Tachikawa Station to the north exit, where you'll find Bic Camera, Isetan, and Takashimaya.
As you walk along the deck, past the large vision screen of Isetan, you'll see the Tama Monorail station.
And there's a place to sit and rest on the pedestrian deck in front of Tachikawa-Kita Station.

There are six-person iron benches installed.
A statue of a boy and an airplane, reminiscent of the "Tachikawa Hikoki," a company that once had a large airfield in Tachikawa, adorns the bench.
These benches have wooden seats, so they're not uncomfortable to sit on.
As for the resting environment, the deck is wide, so there's plenty of space for your feet, and you can rest without feeling cramped.
From the concourse of Tachikawa Station to the deck, many people pass through, transferring to the Tama Monorail or shopping.
However, since it's located slightly away from the flow of people, it wasn't too noticeable.
The location is easily accessible from the station, making it a great meeting spot in Tachikawa.
You can also use the free Wi-Fi, "Tachikawa City Free Wi-Fi," which is convenient when you want to play smartphone games or reply to emails while in the Tachikawa Station area.
Also, when you want to eat lunch or grab a meal within a 1-minute walk from Tachikawa Station, "【Tachikawa Station】Resting Place at Tacross Square" is recommended.
Why not use it as a meeting spot or a place to rest in the Tachikawa Station area?
