From Tobu Utsunomiya Station to JR Utsunomiya Station, there's a main street in front of the former PARCO.
Along this main street, you'll find Futaarayama Shrine, a representative shrine of Tochigi.

In front of the towerマンション, there's a space called Banba Square, and there is a magnificent large torii gate that leads to the approach to Futaarayama Shrine.
If you go up the stairs in front of you, you can reach the grounds of Futaarayama Shrine. For those who find it difficult to go up to the elevated area, there's a offering box set up near the torii gate.

It is the Ichinomiya (the most important shrine) of Shimotsuke Province, and the enshrined deity is Toyokirihiko-no-mikoto.
It's a quiet space surrounded by greenery, perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

There were several benches in the precincts. It's a great spot to take a breather when you're strolling around Utsunomiya.
It also seems like a great place to bring a book and read.

Next to the gate, there's a resting area with vending machines and benches.
There's a roof, so you can take a break from the direct sunlight or use it even when it's drizzling.
Also, there's a resting area in the plaza in front of the stairs of Futaarayama Shrine, so be sure to check that out as well.
So, why not use these as resting places around Tobu Utsunomiya Station?
