This is a terrace located inside the Seibu Line Tokorozawa Station.
To get to Tokoterrace, there is a dedicated entrance near the Gran Emio ticket gates on the Seibu Line's ticket gate floor.

There is a ticket gate that directly accesses the 2nd floor of the 5-story commercial facility called Gran Emio.
Next to it, you'll see stairs with a sign that says "Tokoterrace".

This is the dedicated staircase that leads to Tokoterrace.
There is no elevator, so access is only available via the stairs.
Available hours are from 7:00 to 21:00.
Let's go up the stairs!

Tokoterrace has a spacious area where you can sit and take a break.
There are 10 table seats for 4 people and 4 wooden benches for 3 people.
As it's a terrace inside the station, it inevitably has a somewhat inorganic feel.
However, with its excellent access, just a 0-minute walk from Tokorozawa Station, it's more than enough considering its size.
Regarding the environment of the rest area, there's no air conditioning since it's inside the station.
However, I took a break on a day with a high of 35 degrees Celsius in July, and it was fine.
Now, let's focus on the table seats.

These are 4-person table seats with iron frames, wooden seats, backs, and table surfaces.
Since they are placed inside the station, they are less likely to get dirty or damaged, making them perfect for a break.
Personally, I like the design of these table seats.
And there's another type of table seat.

These are wooden table seats with a more solid feel than the previous ones.
The backs and armrests are sturdy, and the seating comfort was also pleasant.
You can use them with families with children or as a place to eat lunch in Tokorozawa!
I forgot to mention, but you can use Tokorozawa Station's free Wi-Fi in this area!
It's convenient for remote work or for those looking to work as a Nomad, so keep that in mind.

For those who might "miss their train while taking a break!"
There is an electronic display that will put your mind at ease.
Tokorozawa Station is a terminal station for the Seibu Line, where the Seibu Shinjuku Line and the Seibu Ikebukuro Line can be used, and 9 different trains stop here.
It's actually quite fun just to watch this display, lol.

Vending machines are also available!
It's a rest area that can be used when you're a little thirsty.
If you feel unwell while riding the Seibu Line, you might want to take a break here.
Since it's inside the ticket gates, you won't have to pay extra for train fare.

It seems that there was a rooftop garden called "Tokoniwa" until March 2018.
It was closed for renovation, but there's a possibility that it will be renovated and reopened.

This is the view of Tokorozawa Station from Tokoterrace.
Tokorozawa Station itself is not that large, and both the Ikebukuro Line and the Shinjuku Line converge here.

I visited around 17:00 on a Sunday during a long weekend, and there were 5 users.
There are plenty of seats, so you should be able to secure a seat unless it's peak time.
A place that can be used for meeting in Tokorozawa Station or for a quick lunch.
It was a multi-purpose rest area, with businessmen opening their laptops and replying to emails.
During the games at Seibu Dome, it seems that there's a public viewing of the Seibu Lions!
You can get excited here during those times!
So, why not try it as a seating rest area near Tokorozawa Station?
