20,000 trees on a department store rooftop...!? A park that's more than just a rooftop, right above Yokohama Station!
There's a spot called "Joinus Forest Sculpture Park" on the rooftop of Sotetsu Joinus.
To get to Sotetsu Joinus, head to the west exit after exiting the JR Yokohama Station Central Ticket Gate.
Alternatively, you can go directly from the Sotetsu Line side.
Let's head to RF in the Joinus elevator right away!

Here's the entrance to the park!
Joinus Forest Sculpture Park is connected to the Takashimaya rooftop, so you can also access it from the Takashimaya side!

A park rich in greenery and spacious.
That's because it's so big that the "Hikawa Maru," a symbol of Yokohama, can fit inside!
I never expected there would be such an oasis-like resting space right above Yokohama Station...

Here's a map of the park. What's special is that there are 200 kinds of plants and trees that are over 10m tall!
Over 10m... I wonder how they transplanted them.

As the name suggests, it's a sculpture park, so there are sculptures scattered around the park, making it feel like Europe ♪
There was a sculpture of the work "Dancer" and a bench in a beautiful flowerbed.
I like the genre of sculpture gardens... It seems there are a few in Japan too!?

Well, the benches are for two people and are designed to suit the garden.
Although they are placed outdoors, they were kept clean.
It's also convenient as a place to eat lunch in Yokohama ♪

You can relax and take a break away from the hustle and bustle of Yokohama.
It's spacious, so it's a perfect resting place for families with children~.

The Joinus Forest Sculpture Park is also fun to take a stroll!
Here are the flowerbeds and the sculpture of the work "Nike '83".
I haven't taken a pose like this lately...

There were pigeons too!
The work "Milestone-Pigeon," a lovely sculpture standing in the lawn area ♪

There is a smoking area on the opposite side of the Joinus Forest Sculpture Park parking lot.
It's at the edge of the park, so I didn't particularly notice the cigarette smoke.

There are also restrooms near the smoking area in the sculpture park.
During busy times, there are also restrooms next to the elevator entrance/exit on the Takashimaya rooftop, so please use them as well.

Finally, there's a walking path where the work "Jasmine" and the greenery shine.
The sculpture park is open and airy, making it a great place to take a break while shopping at Joinus!
It's helpful to remember this when you want to take a break near the west exit of Yokohama Station~.
Also, the sculpture park is connected to the "Takashimaya rooftop rest area and playland" next door, so check it out if you're looking for a table seat!
So, why not use it as a place to rest near Yokohama Station while shopping at Sotetsu Joinus?
