In the Shin-Takashima area near the east exit of Yokohama Station, you'll find the Minato Mirai Bridge, which connects the Portside area with Nissan and Fuji Xerox.
And along the Katabira River, next to Nissan, is the Yokohama Mitsui Building, famous for the Hara Model Railway Museum!
To get to the Yokohama Mitsui Building, head towards Sogo from the east exit of Yokohama Station and go straight through the glass-enclosed Hamamari Walk.
Then, go down to the ground floor using the elevator next to the Nissan entrance and you'll see it as you walk along the Katabira River towards Yokohama Station.

In front of the Mitsui Building, there's a plaza called the Urban Plaza, where you'll find benches and tables to sit and relax!

Wow! There were many tables with seating for four people on the deck.
I visited around noon on a Saturday, but there was only one group using them... a hidden gem for a break in Yokohama, isn't it?

And what's more, there are large benches and tables!
It's perfect for families with children to take a break, and it's also great for eating your lunch in Yokohama!
It's a spot you'll want to stop by when you're dining or shopping at the Mitsui Building.

Since it's along the Katabira River, the scenery is also beautiful, making it a great place to relax when you want to take a break in the Yokohama Bay Area (or rather, the river).
The futuristic feel of the "Hamamari Walk" in the photo is also great.
It's also great for remote work with a laptop, and it seems like you can enjoy the night view, so it's recommended as a date spot in Yokohama ♪

By the way, there are also benches in the Urban Plaza.
You can relax and sit alone on a bench with public art ♪

There are also benches for 2-3 people scattered around, so even if the tables are full, you're fine!

By the way, there's a nameplate with notes on how to use the benches on the side... but you probably wouldn't notice! (lol)
As an environment for a break, the atmosphere is good because it's along the river, and it's recommended when you want to take a break away from the hustle and bustle of Yokohama.
This was an introduction to a perfect spot for a break while visiting the Hara Model Railway Museum or dining at the Mitsui Building!
Also, if you're looking for other places with tables to take a break, "Bay Quarter 4F Deck" is also recommended, so be sure to check it out.
So, why not use it as a place to take a break with seating around Yokohama Station while you're shopping at the Mitsui Building?
