Umaya-michi Park, located in a triangular area right next to Yoyogi Station.
The origin is unknown, but perhaps this area was once a stable for horses.
To get to Umaya-michi Park, go out the east exit of Yoyogi Station and head towards NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building, Yayoi-ken, and Takashimaya.
Although it's called a park, it felt more like a rest area with vending machines.
It's very urban to have vending machines in a park, isn't it?
Before the arrival of Busta Shinjuku, there was a highway bus terminal operated by JR just in front of the NTT Docomo headquarters building.
(I remember using it for a ski trip tour bus!)
That rest area was used as a meeting place, but now there aren't many people using it...
There are eight stone benches for you to sit on.
It's a good place to use when you want a quick break near Yoyogi Station.
Looking at the traffic cones, I realized that this isn't Shinjuku City!?
There are also two pipe-shaped benches.
It's a simple park that feels like an empty lot, but it has the advantage of being right in front of a Seven-Eleven convenience store.
So, it's convenient for grabbing a quick bento box from the convenience store near Yoyogi Station and eating it there.
It might also be useful as a meeting place in Yoyogi.
