In the public art area of Faret Tachikawa, you'll find some unique benches!
This is the Double Bench, a work by Ales Vesely.
It's a beautiful bench, almost like a physics experiment!
Vesely's motto is "to show where more power exists through the collision of strong things like stone and iron."
I'll leave the comfort of sitting on it a surprise for you to experience!

これは立川市のとあるベンチである。質量mの小球の上下にばねが同一鉛直線上に連結された支柱があり、最上部は鋼材で渡されている。座面下端は地面から鉛直上向きの縦ばねで支えられている。質量Mのペン太が座って離れた時のベンチの角振動数ωを求めよ。ばねの重さは無視し、ばね定数はkとする。 pic.twitter.com/aP806VKt65
