On the south exit side of Toyama Station, you'll find the Light Rail, Toyama Castle, the Toyama Prefectural Office, and the Toyama City Hall.
Local people often abbreviate the Toyama Chiho Railway as "Chitetsu," which at first, I mistook for the subway (lol).
Now, let's head to the tram and Light Rail tracks near Toyama Station.
Look for Hotel α1 as a landmark.

There are several benches that seat six people lined up along the tracks.
The Light Rail is currently divided into north and south sections, but they're working on connecting them, and the surrounding area is under construction.

The benches are placed in a way that will delight train enthusiasts!
Seeing the Centram trains passing by will make you feel like, "Ah, I'm really in Toyama!"
The benches have a simple design, perfectly suited for Toyama, which aims to be a compact city.

Since there are benches right near Toyama Station, you can use them for meeting up or eating your lunch.
During rush hour, there are more people, but the sidewalks are wide, so there's plenty of space.
Also, the "Rest Area on the 2F Deck in front of the Shinkansen Central Ticket Gate" in the station building is also recommended, so be sure to check it out!
And speaking of Toyama... "Kansui Park (Canal Park)" is a must-see!
So, why not use these benches as rest areas around Toyama Station?
