The east exit of Tamachi Station is undergoing redevelopment, and it seems that a high-rise building called "Tamachi Station Tower N" will be completed in the spring of 2020 as part of "msb Tamachi," a high-rise building district.
And, relatively near the station on the east exit side, there is a tranquil canal called Shin Shibaura Canal.
To get to the Shin Shibaura Canal, exit the east exit and walk straight along the pedestrian deck, passing the Tokyo Institute of Technology's futsal court.
You'll see the Shin Shibaura Canal when you cross the Tamachi Station East Exit intersection.

It's a leisurely canal nestled between buildings, and in some places, ducks were swimming.
There's a promenade along the canal, and I saw people strolling along it.

This time, I walked slowly from Shinshiba Bridge near the east exit of Tamachi Station to Moshio Bridge in front of Granpark, looking for benches!
I think the design of these streetlights is quite stylish!

Now, there were two-seater wooden benches near Shinshiba Bridge.
They looked a bit worn, but they're perfect for a break while strolling along the Shin Shibaura Canal.

It seems like a great place to eat your lunch from Tamachi while enjoying the canal view!
There are also trash cans provided, so there was no littering, and the promenade was kept clean.

You can see Moshio Bridge in the back on the right.
Near Moshio Bridge, there is the OKI Business Center, where the OKI group of companies is concentrated.
Also, the distinctive building in front seems to be the Japan Times Nifco Building. I'm a little curious...

Now, there was a pergola and benches next to the Lawson near Moshio Bridge.
Since Lawson is nearby, it's a perfect resting space to eat a lunch box or snacks you bought at the convenience store♪
Also, the "Granpark Plaza" right next to it is like an oasis in the city center and is highly recommended, so be sure to check it out!
So, why not use these places around Tamachi Station to take a break and sit down?
