Welcome to Toyama Station! As you step out of the Central Ticket Gate after getting off the Hokuriku Shinkansen, you'll find the north-south passage stretching out before you.
The light rail platform and the ticket gates for the Ainokaze Toyama Railway are also nearby.
And, as you exit the Shinkansen ticket gate...

Is that a resting area above the light rail platform...?
You can go to the 2nd floor deck by going up the spiral staircases on either side.

A wonderful wooden deck was there!
There are eight tables with four seats each and numerous benches.
It's a great place to take a break, with excellent access right in front of Toyama Station♪ And it's stylish.

The tables and chairs are made of wood, perfect for families and groups to relax.
It's also a great place to meet up or relax before your Shinkansen departs♪
The chairs have curved backs, designed to embrace your body.

There's a plate on the table that says...
- Study at home.
- Take your trash with you.
That's what it says!

And there's an organ piano at the end of the deck!
You can play the piano between 8:00 and 19:30! If you're good at piano, please do!

This is the view of the Toyama Station Shinkansen platform from the deck.
Please use it as a resting place near Toyama Station!
By the way, if you're traveling to Toyama on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, a Shinkansen package is an overwhelmingly good deal♪
I stayed at the Manten Hotel, a 10-minute walk from Toyama Station, and it was 8,000 yen cheaper than booking the Shinkansen and hotel separately!
If you're using the Hokuriku Shinkansen, you should definitely check it out.
And speaking of Toyama... "Kansui Park (Canal Park)" is a must-see!
So, why not use it as a place to sit and rest around Toyama Station?
