The Toyama City Gymnasium is located near the beautiful Kansui Park (Canal Park), a famous spot in Toyama.
You'll find the Hotel Toyama Jiyukan and the Toyama Prefectural Mutual Aid Center Sunforte in front of the gymnasium, which should help you find your way.
The gymnasium was rebuilt from the Toyama City Gymnasium, where legendary matches such as the Giant Baba vs. Antonio Inoki fight, and world title matches in professional boxing were held.
It's a gymnasium with quite a history!
And guess what? We found some benches in front of the Toyama City Gymnasium where you can sit and take a break!

These benches have a streamlined design, as if they're flowing towards Kansui Park.
They look so beautiful from the front!

These artistic benches have seats set on pipe-like structures.
It looks challenging to attach wooden boards horizontally to the pipes!
It's a great spot to take a breather before heading to Kansui Park.

If you walk a bit from the gymnasium towards the fountain and waterfall area of Kansui Park...
You'll find trees and benches lined up alternately!

Oh, so that's how you can sit from both sides!
What an innovative idea! The streamlined backrest is unique to Kansui Park.

We've found some pretty interesting benches.
These would be great spots to meet up with groups or friends, or to have lunch when visiting the Toyama City Gymnasium!
